CLIMATE
|
 |
Spring. Spring temperatures range from 10-15 degrees
overnight to about 24 degrees during the day. The gardens are
awash with colour, the cotton is being planted and the lush green
wheat fields stretch forever to the horizon. The Pilliga Scrub’s
mantle of colour is at its best. |
 |
Summer. Summer is growing season for the cotton. In November
there is action aplenty as the wheat fields are harvested and
because of its altitude, Mt Kaputar National Park is a carpet of
colour with a profusion of wildflowers throughout the park. |
 |
Autumn: Voted by many, weatherwise, as the optimum time of
year in the Narrabri area, this is when the snowy cotton fields
are at their best and walking, camping and enjoying Mt Kaputar
National Park is a must. |
 |
Winter:
Crisp mornings followed by warm, 18 – 20 degree days make winter a
great time for exploring Narrabri Shire. |
