Originally situated at
116 Rouse Street

The two front rooms
were built circa 1860 of local pitsawn hardwood, sassafras slab
and battens and a board roof, later covered with shingles and a
brick chimney and fire place were added. |

(lined) and verandah were added later again |

The cottage has been
restored. |

It reflects a typical
workman's lifestyle of the 1860's |
