Centanary Cottage Museum

Built in 1871 by Thomas M^cGaurin for Michael Egan on land bought in the first sale of town land on 9^th March 1854

General Sir Harry Chauvel Gallery

Highlights the distinguished military career of Australia's first General ( born in 1865 at Tabulam Station on the Clarence River) who served in the

Boer War

World War I commanding the Desert Mounted Corps

Displays 38 paintings on a rotational basis of May Lillian Chauvel - one of Australia's first internationally recognised women painters.

From time to time houses various exhibitions and theme displays

Memorabillia of J.F. Thomas - renowned for his defence of "Breaker" Morant at his court marshall during the Boer War

Petrie Cottage

Originally situated at 116 Rouse Street

	The two front rooms were built circa 1860 of local pitsawn hardwood, sassafras slab and battens and a board roof, later covered with shingles and a brick chimney and fire place were added.
	More rooms (lined) and verandah were added later again
	The cottage has been restored.
	It reflects a typical workman's lifestyle of the 1860's
