Just four and a half hours from Sydney

30 minutes south of Tamworth

Climate

Spring and Autumn are pleasant sunny days and cool nights

Winter is brisk and invigorating with frosty mornings

Attractions

This village  is in the heart of some of Australia’s finest farm land – grain crops, cattle and sheep flourish in the richness of the western slopes of the Liverpool Range.

The historic Wallabadah Cemetery is surrounded by a unique GRASSY WHITEBOX Woodland. This small natural population is one of the best examples in New South Wales of a community of indigenous trees and grasses peculiar to native Whitebox colonies.

Historic Buildings

Wallabadah boasts a long and proud history, typical of many of the towns and villages along the New England Highway  - of early rural settlement, of landed gentry; free settlers and of convict labour, of gold rushes and bushrangers.

The Inn has occupied this central corner of downtown Wallabadah since its construction in 1867 and parts of the original building are still in use today.
